Dearly Beloved in Christ,
You might be aware of the recent political development in our country. Since early June there have been large protests across India, especially in Delhi. What began about a month ago as a student movement against a leaked medical entrance exam—an incident that tragically preceded 27 student suicides—has grown into widespread demonstrations.
The students are demanding the resignation of the Education Minister. On 20 July thousands of young people marched toward Parliament; police intervention led to many being hurt. The protests continue, and the situation is tense as crowds are expected to swell over the coming weekend.
Please pray for our nation: that the Lord would bring peace, protect the young people, prevent further violence or unrest, and guide our leaders with wisdom.
