Anil’s life is one of quiet faithfulness. This 45 year old has been with one of our churches in North India for the past twenty years. He runs a small grocery shop to provide for his wife and two sons, and his neighbours know him as a steady, dependable believer. Anil, who is a diabetic, began experiencing a serious problem with the vision in his right eye about two months ago and began losing vision.

The loss came quickly and frighteningly. Medicines and visits to doctors in some of the major cities nearby brought no relief. Days at the shop grew harder as his sight dimmed; tasks he once took for granted became sources of anxiety. He tried every treatment available, but nothing changed. Discouragement settled over him and his family.

It was then that his pastor spoke simple, pointed words: “You have tried many treatments and medicines, but nothing has changed. Why don’t you spend time in prayer and fasting? God is able to heal every disease.” Those words lit a hope in Anil. Humbly and expectantly, he set aside a month for prayer and fasting, seeking the Lord with the earnestness of someone who had nowhere else to turn.

What followed was nothing short of miraculous. After that month of focused prayer, Anil could see clearly—the vision in his right eye was fully restored. Not only had his sight returned, it was better than before. The family’s relief and gratitude were immediate and profound. Neighbours and church members who had watched his struggle rejoiced with him, testifying alongside him to God’s goodness.

Today Anil is not only restored physically but also renewed spiritually. He serves faithfully alongside his pastor, willingly stepping into every ministry task with dedication and a cheerful heart. His testimony—of persistence in prayer and of God’s gracious intervention—has strengthened many in the congregation.

We give all praise to God for Anil’s healing. Please continue to pray for him and his family: that they may remain strong in the Lord, grow deeper in faith, and continue to shine as living testimonies of God’s power, mercy, and faithfulness.
